Just a few of the comments from our visitor books :
" Home from Home, the most comfortable and best equipped let
we have stayed in- Home or Abroad. The Hirsel country park is worth an early
morning walk and back for breakfast- especially the Highland cattle." Peter and
" Thanks for the welcome, we thought the Hayloft was really
small, but then we opened the door at the top of the stairs and found it was
..... huge ! We were impressed at how thoughtfully equipped the place is. We
found it to be the type of place we looked forward to returning to, and being in
after a hard day reading labels in visitors centres !" Mr & Mrs Sear,
" We very much enjoyed the fine Moselle wine, the exquisite
chocolates, and the carnations. We also appreciated the well equipped and
surprisingly spacious Hayloft. The location is so peaceful - we could hear the
cooing of the doves- but at the same time so conveniently close to amenities in
Coldstream. As golfers we enjoyed the tight picturesque 18 hole course at the
Hirsel only 5 minutes away, and the much more open links course at Eyemouth. As
historians we visited Berwick, Alnwick Castle, Holy Island and Kelso. Yet there
is so much more to do, including reading through your well-stocked library !!"
Mr & Mrs Wilkinson, Lancashire.
" Thank you for the card & chocolates to welcome us. We have had
a lovely holiday, it is a beautiful apartment and with such a wealth of reading
material ! The peace of the surroundings has been the best part and the
friendliness of the local people. We would love to come back again sometime."
Mrs Haresign, Lancashire
